2 Hype is the debut album by rap duo, Kid 'n Play. The album was released in 1988 for Select Records, distributed by Landmark Distributors owned by Jeffrey Collins, and was produced by Hurby Luv Bug and The Invincibles.

Reception[edit]

2 Hype was a success for the duo, reaching #96 on the Billboard 200 and #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and being certified Gold by the RIAA. Three singles found success on the Hot Rap Singles chart, 'Rollin' with Kid 'n Play' (#2), '2 Hype' (#19) and 'Gittin' Funky' (#24). In 2008, 'Rollin' with Kid 'n Play' was ranked number 63 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.

While there have been many top-five matchups between Ohio State and Michigan on the gridiron, tomorrow will be the first time the two have met on the hardwood with both teams ranked in the top five. By now you probably know, No. 3 Michigan will be in Columbus to take on the No. 4 ranked Buckeyes tipping at 1 pm on Sunday.

Fans were robbed of The Game this past fall when Michigan canceled due to COVID concerns. Basketball sometimes takes a backseat to the pigskin for these two, but not this year. With both teams being ranked so high nationally and first place on the line in the Big Ten, this game has all the makings of an all-time classic.
